I noticed this while playing a massive multiplayer online game where there's all sorts of personalities (but mostly kids). Normally there are the quiet ones who, win or lose, they just go on. I think they know that they lose sometimes and so on. They know they can only get better. And then there are the people who lose and then say all sorts of profanity and insults to the winners or to their teammates. I realized also that unfortunately, some of these kids age without actually growing up, and this is the cause of a lot of conflict and difficulties in the world, really. These kids with adult ages have all sorts of excuses and finger-pointing and name calling in them whenever they lose, when instead they could just look at the mirror and say, "What can I personally improve on about myself today so that I can start winning tomorrow?" Or something like that.
Unfortunately also, there are losers who eventually get lucky and win, and think that the key to winning is being that finger-pointing, excuse-ridden, name-calling kid. Oh, hell.
So, are you a winner or a loser?
Also, there are two kinds of people in this world: those who contribute to this blog, and those who don't. Seriously, we're looking for contributions. Email us at xpeople@ronjie.com.
